The AFSC participates in multiple competitions across Minnesota as well as hosting our own Learn to Skate USA Competition each year. Our Battle of the Blades is part of the Central MN Compete USA Competition Series.
If you are interested in competing, the skating club provides a list of coaching staff available for private lessons to prepare for competition. The skater is responsible for contracting private ice time with the AFSC and contracting lesson time with a coach. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to a coach or board member.

Summer Skating Camps
Summer skating camps are a great way to expand your skating skills and become a better skater! There are a few summer skating camps in Minnesota, some have deadlines in November and December. Here are a few that have caught our eye:
Shattuck-St. Mary’s International Figure Skating Camp
Point of Perfection Figure Skating Camp
Rising Stars Summer Camp at St. Paul FSC
Our Central MN Compete USA Competition Series also has a summer camp available for LTS skaters (location rotates between our competition host clubs). We hosted the 2022 skating camp on July 22 & 23 and had a great time! Thanks to all who joined us!
